The Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) Enforcement Team has on August 11, carried out an enforcement operation at Aghanya Close, Ezimezi Village, Amawbia, removing structures obstructing access roads in the area.
The exercise is part of ACTDA’s ongoing efforts to keep roads and access routes within the Capital Territory free and accessible, particularly to ensure the smooth movement of residents and emergency services.
The operation was carried out in line with the directive of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACTDA, Dr. Ossy Onuko, as the agency intensifies efforts to promote orderly urban development and protect public access ways.
ACTDA warned residents and property owners against blocking roads, walkways and other access routes, stressing that offenders will face appropriate sanctions.
The Authority urged residents to cooperate with its enforcement teams and help keep public roads and access routes free.
