IHIALA LGA RECEIVES REDEPLOYED INFORMATION OFFICERS TO STRENGTHEN GRASSROOTS COMMUNICATION

‎The Ihiala Local Government Area has received a team of information officers on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, following their redeployment from Nnewi North by the Anambra State Ministry of Information.
‎
‎The officers were formally received by the Mayor of Ihiala, Engr. Anayochukwu Charles Orjiakor, who described the posting as timely and strategic for enhancing grassroots communication and public engagement.
‎
‎“We are pleased to welcome you to Ihiala. The council is committed to collaborating with you to ensure that accurate, timely, and effective information reaches every part of the local government area,” the Mayor stated.
‎
‎He introduced the team to the Head of Personnel Management, Mr. David Umeagu, who received them on behalf of the council. Mr. Umeagu immediately directed the Local Government Information Officer, Mrs. Ejiofor, to provide suitable office accommodation and seating to enable the officers to commence duties without delay.
‎
‎The redeployment is part of the Anambra State Government’s broader initiative to improve service delivery and strengthen the dissemination of public information at the local government level.
