Awka, April 13, 2018 – The Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planing and Rural Development Mr. Nnamdi Onukwuba, has urged the Newly inaugurated Board members and Executive Secretaries of Anambra State Physical Planning Board to brace up to the task ahead so as to lift the Board to a greater height.

Speaking in his office during a courtesy call by the Executive Secretaries, the Commissioner reminded them that their mandate is to make sure that aesthetics of the state is improved.

He enjoined them to shun malpractices adding that they have the responsibility to work towards redeeming the image of the Board.

Mr Onukwuba warned that any Executive Secretary found wanting in the course of discharging his duties will be automatically removed and disciplinary action taken against him.

He urged them to make an enviable mark within the first one hundred days of Gov. Obiano in office, saying that Gov. Obiano knows how to reward good workers.

The New chairman of the Board, Mr. Chike Maduekwe called on the Executive Secretaries to join force with him to do what is expected from the Board, stressing that together they will make Anambra State clean.

Mr. Maduekwe told them to always report challenges they have in the course of discharging their duties as his office is always open to welcome their complaints.

The New General Manager of the Board, Victor Okpoko appealed to the Executive Secretaries to do their job without fear or favour.

He urged them to work as a team towards making Anambra state clean.

He warned them to be careful while discharging their duties, stressing that government has set up whistle blowers to monitor their activities.
