Ekwulobia (Aguata LGA), March 15, 2019 (MOI) The protracted boundary tussle between Umuekpili Clan, Ula Village Ekwulobia and Obinabo, Nkpologwu will soon be settled as the Anambra State Boundary Committee has waded into the matter.

Executive Secretary of Anambra State Boundary Committee, Mr Emma Nwokoye said this when he led Boundary Technical Team to inspect the land in dispute.

He re-assured both communities of an equitable resolution of the matter.

Mr Nwokoye said the state government was father to all and would not deliberately favour any particular side to the detriment of the other.

``Anambra State Government is desirous of bringing about peace in all nooks and crannies of the state.’’

While receiving the technical team in his palace, the traditional ruler of Ekwulobia, Igwe Emma Onyeneke, commended the boundary committee for the good work they were doing.

He, however, admonished them to always stand for justice in handling boundary-related matters.

Meanwhile, the Traditional Prime Minister of Nkpologwu, Mr Emma Okenyeka who spoke on behalf of his people expressed gratitude to the technical team for the visit.

According to him, this matter has lingered, expressing hope that finally, light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

``Nkpologwu people are peace-loving. We appreciate our youths for hearkening to our advice not to fight even in the face of provocation.

``We urge the boundary technical team to go, see for themselves and always stand for the truth in dispensing justice on matters before it,’’ he said.

In a vote of thanks, Chairman, Obinabo Village, Nkpologwu, Mr Victor Ezeoke prayed for a hitch-free exercise by the technical team.

He assured that his community would abide by whatever decisions reached by boundary committee, even as he urged Ndi Ekwulobia to always toe the line of peace. (MOI)
