ANAMBRA POLICE BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE WELFARE SUPPORT FROM IGP DISU, NPTF

The Anambra State Police Command on Aug. 27, benefited from a welfare initiative of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, aimed at improving the welfare and livelihood of spouses of Junior Police Officers and their families.
The programme, sponsored by the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF), was held at Don Ritz Hotel, Awka, and formed part of ongoing efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen its welfare structure and provide greater support for personnel and their dependants.
The initiative underscored the commitment of the Inspector-General of Police to the well-being of police officers and their families, recognising the important role family support plays in boosting the morale, dedication and effectiveness of personnel in the discharge of their duties.
Beneficiaries, drawn from among the spouses of Junior Police Officers in the command, received various forms of support, including certificates of training, cash gifts, sewing machines, hair dryer machines and other goodwill items designed to assist them in developing sustainable means of livelihood.
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Ngozi Ezeabata, expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund for the initiative.
DCP Ezeabata noted that welfare interventions of this nature would go a long way in improving the morale of police personnel while fostering a stronger sense of belonging among officers and their families.
The Anambra State Police Command also commended the IGP and the NPTF for their continued support and reaffirmed its commitment to prioritising the welfare of its personnel and dependants while sustaining professional, people-oriented and effective policing across the state.
