NISA PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO INFORMATION COMMISSIONER, INVITES HIM TO INTERSCHOOL DEBATE

The Nibo Students Association (NISA) Federated, has paid a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reorientation, Dr. Law Mefor, at his office, where the association invited him to serve as Special Guest at its forthcoming interschool debate for secondary school students in Nibo community.
The delegation was led by the President of the Association, Rtr. Comrade Umeadi Chukwudum. During the visit, the association disclosed that the interschool debate, which is open to both public and private secondary schools within Nibo community, will commence with a seminar and conference scheduled for September 24 and 25.
Responding, Commissioner Mefor urged them to live upright and responsible lives, embrace industriousness and strive to become useful members of society. He noted that obtaining a certificate from a higher institution is valuable as a mark of knowledge and academic achievement, but emphasized that hard work, discipline and commitment are what ultimately make the difference in life.
The commissioner also admonished the students to shun cultism and other forms of social vices, warning that cultism ultimately leads to shame, destruction and wasted opportunities. He encouraged the students to focus on education, character development and productive activities that would contribute positively to their families and society.
Dr. Mefor expressed his willingness to partner with NISA in the programme, describing himself as a youth mentor who is committed to encouraging young people to discover their potential and make meaningful contributions to society. He welcomed the initiative and commended the association for organizing a programme capable of promoting intellectual development, healthy competition and positive values among secondary school students in Nibo.
The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism that the forthcoming seminar, conference and interschool debate would provide an important platform for mentoring, knowledge-sharing and the development of responsible future leaders from Nibo community.
