DR MRS NONYE SOLUDO STORMS ANAOCHA WITH HER HEALTHY LIVING INITIATIVE, ANAOCHA MAYOR PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR HER CAMPAIGN

The Anaocha Local Government Mayor, Comrade Rome Ibekwe has pledged his support for the wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo’s Healthy Living Campaign Intiative.
He made this known while welcoming the first lady and her entourage at the local government Secretariat Neni during the flag off of her “Healthy Living Garden and Famers Market” in Anaocha Council Area, noting that the first lady through her pet project Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo have succeeded in promoting healthy living practices through out the state.
The mayor, assured her of his administration’s support to her campaign goals, commending the state Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for his commitment to improving the lives of Ndi Anambra through his developmental policies and projects in the health sector that has reduced mother and infant mortality in the state, assuring him of his unflinching support of Ndi Anaocha in his second term reyelection bid.
During her speech, Dr Mrs Soludo said that her Healthy Living Campaign was aimed at taking people back to nature, promoting healthy living by eating right, emphasizing the importance of backyard garden where one can plant vegetables like tomatoes, pepper, cabbage, cucumber and more,so as to access vegetables in and out of season using irrigation method of planting.
She promised the supply of the first inproved seedlings for the gardens, advocated for consumption of organic foods to tined foods, which most times have chemical preservatives that is harmful to human health, noting that we are what we eat.
The governor’s wife commended Anaocha son and the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike for his believe and dedication to the goals of the Campaign, describing him as an asset to the state.
Highpoint of the event was the first planting at the Farmers garden in Anaocha by Dr. Mrs Soludo.
