LAUNCHING OF BEAMS ON AROMA OVERPASS TO BE COMPLETED IN FOUR DAYS, SAYS WORKS COMMISSIONER

Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Ifeanyi Okoma has explained that launching of beams at the Aroma Overpass will be completed in four days.
Mr. Okoma made this known to newsmen in his Awka office. According to him, “launching of beams will be completed in four days, thereafter, mounting of decks commences and in the next one month, we will be completely out of it”.
Mr Okoma stated that government of Prof. Soludo is building legacy projects and that the bridge when completed will decongest Aroma and connect the two sides of Awka. He said that government is considering constructing about 1.5km of the approach to the road and for one who is going to Enugu or Onitsha from both sides of Awka, one doesn’t need to go through Aroma.

On his part, the project Engineer of Geld Construction Ltd in charge of the bridge project, Mr. Nilos Bouev said that the project has reached advanced stage, with the commencement of the installation of bridge beams.
He noted that they started the placement of the bridge beams with heavy cranes and top professionals at the site and would be concluded in the coming days.
Nilos expressed appreciation to the Anambra State Governor for initiating and funding the construction of the flyover bridges.
