ANAMBRA STUDENTS DAY 2025: NAUSS HONORS COMMISSIONER FOR INDUSTRY WITH AWARD OF EXCELLENCE AT LEGISLATIVE SUMMIT

The Senate Arm of the National Union of Anambra State Students (NAUSS) has successfully hosted the 2025 Anambra Students Day Legislative Summit at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Igbariam Campus.
With the theme, “Empowering the New Generation of Leaders and Creating a Better Future for Umuakwukwo Ndi Anambra”, the summit provided a platform for dialogue between student leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders on shaping the future of Anambra youths as drivers of leadership and development.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of an Award of Excellence in Industrial Development and Leadership to the Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to industrial growth, youth empowerment, and visionary leadership in line with the transformation agenda of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
In their citation, NAUSS leaders commended Mr. Udechukwu’s steadfast role in promoting industrialization and innovation, noting that his efforts directly support the state government’s vision of building a livable and prosperous homeland.
Responding, the Commissioner expressed gratitude to God, Governor Soludo, and the students for the honor.

He dedicated the award to the Governor and the people of Anambra, emphasizing that the recognition is a motivation to intensify efforts toward attracting investments, creating jobs, and securing a sustainable economic future for the state.
“This award is dedicated to His Excellency, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, whose visionary leadership continued to inspire us to build the industrial base of our dear state. Together, we are working to secure a prosperous future for Ndi Anambra,” Mr. Udechukwu said.
The Legislative Summit, which attracted students, faculty, and dignitaries, further demonstrated the strong partnership between the youth community and the present administration.
This recognition at the Students Day celebration affirms that under Governor Soludo’s Solution Agenda, Anambra is steadily empowering the new generation of leaders while laying solid foundations for industrial excellence, economic prosperity, and youth-driven innovation.
