ANAMBRA AT 35: HEAD OF SERVICE HAILS STATE’S PROGRESS, ENVISIONS BRIGHTER FUTURE

The Anambra State Head of Civil Service, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, Esq., has hailed the state’s progress over the past 35 years, expressing optimism for a brighter future.
Iwouno stated this on August 26, while speaking with journalists in her office ahead of the state’s 35th anniversary of creation.
Reflecting on her years as a civil servant, she recalled periods when workers experienced labour challenges, strikes and irregular salary payments, noting that significant progress had since been recorded.
She said Anambra had been blessed with good governance over the years, stressing that workers now receive regular salaries, while pensioners are also receiving their pensions.
According to her, the state has continued to address workers’ welfare, including housing and welfare buses, while implementing the minimum wage and working toward further improvements.
The Head of Civil Service expressed pride in being an Anambra person and happiness to have served the Anambra State Government, expressing optimism that the future would be better.
She commended the achievements of the Solution Government under Governor Chukwuma Soludo, including the Fun City, while expressing anticipation for the Aerotropolis and New Anambra Cities.
Iwouno expressed hope that future developments would make Anambra a destination where her children and other residents would not need to leave the country in search of better opportunities.
She congratulated Anambra on its 35th anniversary, declaring that “Anambra is on the rise,” while expressing confidence that the state would attain the destination envisioned by Governor Soludo.
