AFIKPO ANGLICAN BISHOP CONGRATULATES UNIZIK VC, PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT AND PRAYERS

The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Afikpo, Rt. Rev. Paul A. Udogu, has congratulated the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Anyaehie, on his appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership for the institution. Rt. Rev. Udogu made this known on August 19 when he led a delegation of the Anglican Diocese of Afikpo on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor in his office.
The Bishop, who disclosed that he is an alumnus of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, expressed joy over Prof. Anyaehie’s emergence as Vice-Chancellor and commended the administration for its ongoing transformation and restructuring initiatives.
He noted that the measures being implemented by the VC would contribute significantly to the continued growth and development of the University.
According to him, the visit was also an opportunity to thank God for giving Prof. Anyaehie the strength to assume the leadership of the institution and to offer prayers for wisdom, strength and divine direction throughout his tenure.
Rt. Rev. Udogu assured the VC of the continued prayers and support of the Anglican Diocese of Afikpo, acknowledging the high expectations associated with his leadership but expressing confidence in his ability to meet and exceed them.
During the visit, the Bishop presented copies of the Igbo Bible to Prof. Anyaehie and encouraged him to remain anchored in the scriptures through regular study and meditation on the Word of God. He further prayed for divine wisdom, grace and strength for the Vice-Chancellor as he leads Nnamdi Azikiwe University towards greater accomplishments.
