Anambra State is committed to strengthening its telecommunications infrastructure through a transparent and efficient Right of Way (RoW) approval process. By eliminating RoW charges, the state seeks to attract investment, encourage infrastructure development, and accelerate broadband expansion across the state.
Investors seeking to deploy broadband infrastructure in the state shall submit an application addressed to the Managing Director AnSPPB and copies of the application shall also be sent to the office of the Hon. Commissioner (attention Hon. Commissioner) Ministry of Works and Office of the Managing Director (attention MD) Anambra Information Communication and Technology Agency (ANICTA).
The investor is required to submit the following documents:
There is no cost for the grant of Right of Way (RoW) privileges in the State. However, telecommunication (Telcos) and Infrastructure companies (Infracos) are required to reinstate all road/Infrastructure damaged or destroyed while working in the State.
The MD AnSPPB, The Commissioner of Works and MD, ICTA meets not later than 2 days upon submission of the application letter and accompanying documents by the investor for review to ensure full compliance. Upon satisfaction with the submissions, an acceptance letter granting RoW privileges is issued in favour of the investor.
TIMEFRAME: Applications will be processed within 21 working days, as long as they meet the minimum standards prescribed by the Government.
