Akpo (Aguata LGA), March 18, 2021 (MOI) President-General, Akpo Development Association (ADA), Nze Henry C. Dim has congratulated Gov. Willie Obiano on his 7th Year in office, describing him as a proactive and visionary leader.
“So far so good, Obiano has done well in every department of governance,’’ Nze Dim said this while interacting with information officers, at Akpo, on March 17.
The PG said, the proactive and reactive tactics at which the Anambra State Government tackled the Coronavirus pandemic had been unprecedented, second to none in Nigeria.
“Ndi Anambra are well travelled as such if not Anambra State Government’s doggedness in fighting COVID-19 pandemic, we could have been in for greater troubles than we have had.
“The fight against the pandemic is ongoing; surely Anambra State is not leaving any stones unturned at ensuring that the contagion is contained.
“Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme (ASHIA) is one programme that its history will still remain a rave even after the Obiano years.’’
The programme that had bridged the gap between the rich and poor as everybody would avail equal Medicare at good hospitals across the state.
“With a token of N12, 000 per annum, a one thousand naira per month, a person’s health charges is settled. This is unbeatable,’’ he observed.
“Security is another department in governance, where Gov. Obiano has made indelible marks.
“Affluent Ndi Anambra visit home without fear of molestation, kidnapping, unlike what Obiano obtained before Obiano took on the mantle of leadership.
“Traditional weddings and funerals were not held at home but done outside the state in fears over possibility of kidnap.
The “Ugbo Azu Uno mantra’’ of the Anambra State Government has reminded Ndi Igbo how they survived during the last Civil War.
“Nze Henry pleaded with Ndi Anambra to pray constantly to God that Obiano’s successor will sustain and surpass his achievements.
“However, he used the interaction to draw government’s attention to local vigilance group, noting that their services are highly needed especially now we are fast approaching gubernatorial election.’’ (MOI)
