Awka, June 22, 2021 (MOI) Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr Simeon Onyemaechi received a delegation from Kogi State Health Insurance Agency led by Dr Aledare Adekunle.

The Kogi team, who came on a study tour of the State’s Health Insurance Agency, was welcomed by Dr Onyemaechi at the ASHIA office in Awka.

Dr Onyemaechi used the opportunity to inform the visitors that not less than 10 states had visited ASHIA over the same subject-matter at which they could attest to the fact that ASHIA would always deliver.

He urged them to feel at home while in the state pointing out that Anambra remained the safest state in the country.

Dr Onyemaechi assured the team that the ASHIA team would provide them with all the knowledge they would need, “before your three days in the state would have been over; I assure you that your team will be adequately equipped with all the knowledge you seek’’.

He encouraged them to have an open mind and feel free to ask any questions they had regarding the scheme, assuring, “the ASHIA team is more than capable of putting you through concerning our health insurance scheme’’.

Executive Secretary, Kogi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr Adekunle, said that their state chose Anambra because of the towering successes that ASHIA had recorded in just about three years of its establishment.

“We are here on a 3-day tour of your Agency; we chose Anambra because I know the level of achievements that the scheme has had since the past three years under the leadership of my good friend, Dr Onyemaechi.

“Please tell us everything we need to know about ICT, Finance, Administration and others. We shall be rolling out our scheme in a few months time.’’

The Kogi ES said that they had visited a state in the North but needed to visit Anambra because of its status in the Health Insurance scheme in the country today.   The delegates from Kogi State include the Executive Secretary, Dr Adekunle, Head of Operations, Standard Quality Control, Dr Yetunde Oyeyemi, Head of Programmes and Claims Management, Dr Miriam Abdulsalam, Head of Accounts, Mr Clement Otitolaye.
