Awka, Dec. 2, 2020 (MOI) Secretary of League of African Development Studies (LEADS), Mr Tony C Osisiogu has described Ven. Amechi Okwuosa, the Managing Director, Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), as an innovator and a gallant leader.

“Okwuosa is a generous and passionate investor in youths and community development ventures,’’ Osisiogu said while honouring the ACTDA MD with an award of Africa’s Patriotic Personality.

He said LEADS was a body for all the Democratic Student Unions which came into being since 1985 at University of Kano.

It has an objective of sensitising members on democratic safe practices.

Mr Osisiogu said that the Award was in recognition of the MD’s commitment to Awka capital city development.

“It is also for his philanthropic and charity gestures to the less privileged as well as for the restoration of Mast-bin plans and Urbanisation of Awka through the mandate of ACTDA.’’

He said Okwuosa was a patriotic Nigerian clergy, who empowered people from all walks of life.

Ven. Okwuosa, while thanking the group for the gesture, urged them to take their studies seriously “because the character you mould in the university will determine what you will be in future’’.

He wished them the best in their endeavours. (MOI)
