Lady Ogugua, a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Donor Agencies has been working closely with her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ).
“Mrs Obiano, Mama Anambra is a woman with a kind heart. Her passion to help humanity brought about this free prosthetic limbs programme; she partners IshakToralam Foundation on this.
“She started this exercise in 2014 and no fewer than 2,000 amputees have benefitted from the project.
“This is the 6th year and no fewer than 250 persons were measured for the free limbs earlier in December and they are now stepping forward to collect them,’’ she explained.
Lady Ogugua urged the beneficiaries to do constant practice with limbs in order to get used to them.
