This is to assist them to continue to run and improve their services to Ndi Anambra.
The cheques were for health facilities under the control of the Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostal health institutions.
The Catholic healthcare facilities received N197, 750, 000.00, the Anglicans received 60,750, 000.00, while the Pentecostal institution received N30, 000,000.

The Governor said that his administration had granted about N2 billion aid to faith-based facilities in the state since the inception of his administration.

“The first set of medical students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOTH), could not graduate after spending 10 years for a course that was supposed to take six years.
“We worked hard to secure all the required accreditation within months. We did the same with the College of Health Technology, Obosi as well as the School of Nursing, Nkpor.
“We established Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHCDA) and I approached, Dr Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson Motors to facilitate the procurement of not less than 430 Tricycle ambulances, fully equipped.
“They were shared among the all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in the state.’’
Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Ogochukwu Okpala at the event, noted that the bane of healthcare delivery anywhere was Healthcare Financing, which the Governor achieved when he established Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme (ASHIA).
“Our health insurance scheme is among the top three most performing health insurance agencies in the country. We have a capable leadership, managing that important Agency of Government. “With only N12, 000, one can access quality and affordable healthcare services anywhere in the state.’’ (MOI)
