Awka, May 20, 2021 (MOI) A group known as the Movement For Election of Nigerian President of Igbo extraction has called to maintain the principle of equity by zoning the 2023 Presidency to the South East, just as it was zoned to South West in 1999.
The group made the appeal to religious leaders of the Igbo extraction to introduce praying for the actualisation of the Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in their various places of worship.
The group said that usual and uncommon issues deserve divine intervention, because only God could grant power.
The National Convener of the group Mr Vincent Ezekwueme made the remarks at the end of their 3-day fasting and prayer session to seek the face of God and His intervention toward actualising election of Nigeria President of Igbo extraction in 2023.
While addressing newsmen, Ezekwueme said for the interest of equity, social justice, egalitarianism, good conscience and morality, it would be appropriate to cede the presidency to the South East.
It was that brought about the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo presidency of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Chief Olu Falae of AD/APP both from southwest to contest the presidency in order to pacify them over the annulment of June 12th presidential election believed to have been won by Chief MKO of Social Democratic.
