Awka, May. 5, 2021 (MOI) Executive Secretary, Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr Simeon Onyemaechi has hailed the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for being a well presented and detailed workshop.
He urged the ASHIA staff participants to stay focused on the workshop in order to be able to imbibe the knowledge gathered into the management of the Primary Healthcare under the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF).
He said this during the NHIS organised one-day workshop on BHCPF 2020 guidelines and implementation Protocol for Staff members of ASHIA at Hilton Leisure Resort and Hotel, Awka.
Dr Onyemaechi said that the workshop was essential now that the full implementation of the BHCPF had since commenced in all the Local Government Areas of the state.
He urged all the ASHIA staff members present at the workshop to pay attention to every guideline being laid out to them, saying that these would help the Agency to run the BHCPF programme effectively.
NHIS State Coordinator, Mrs Nwakaego Aniebo was commended for coordinating the workshop that served as a vital instrument in the BHCPF programme.
Mrs Aniebo said that the workshop was an additional training on the principles and guidelines of the BHCPF.
