The Commissioner, Dr Kenneth Anierobi said this in an interview with an Information officer at his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.
He said: “this conference will enable the state government to engage with Ndi Anambra in The Diaspora with a view to creating and consolidating partnership for a socio-economic development of the state.
“It will be an avenue for the government to receive a feedback from The Diasporans on issues that are of concern to them as well as state their expectations from the state government.’’
He noted, however, that the various areas they could invest in such as; healthcare delivery, Education, Agriculture, Commerce and tourism.
“We are keen to encourage our people in The Diaspora to come and invest in those various sectors in the state.
“We want them to bring in their talents, skills and resources to support the people and government of Anambra State,’’ he added.
The commissioner then used the occasion to commend the Anambra State Association (ASA) Women USA for their annual healthcare missions to the state. “The annual health missions are excellent examples of what The Diasporans can contribute for the development and growth of the state.’’ (MOI)
