Awka, Jan. 22, 2021 (MOI) Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism, Dr Kenneth Anierobi says the Ministry will mobilise Ndi Anambra in The Diaspora to support the vision and plans of the state.
Dr Anierobi said this during a news conference in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
“Anambra has the best minds and skills all over the World and The Diaspora affairs are a huge resource base to utilise such potential.
“The mobilisation will be carried out through generation of information, engagements, contact-building and other activities packaged for Ndi Anambra in The Diaspora by the Ministry.’’
The commissioner noted that his plans for the ministry would centre on the mission and vision statement of Gov. Willie Obiano administration.
“The Ministry is in a good position to make direct contributions toward actualising the vision and mission of the state.
“My team in the ministry and me will get to work to implement the schemes and projects already mapped out.”
According to the commissioner, every project mapped out to promote the tourism sector will be completed to attract more tourists to the state.
He noted that the hospitality industry would be restructured and supported to aid their recovery from the harsh effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Ministry will also take up a lot of schemes, projects and programmes geared toward promoting the cultural heritage of the state.
“Although time is a limited resource and never enough for everyone but what is more important is for one to be efficient within the time given.
“We will efficiently deliver the mandate of the state within the time and resources available to us.’’ He thanked Gov. Willie Obiano for the opportunity given to him to serve the state. (MOI)
