Amawbia (Awka South LGA), April 6, 2021 (MOI) Christians have been enjoined to leverage on the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ to do exploits through keeping their faith alive.
The Catechist of Chapel of Divine Grace Anglican Church, Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra, Evangelist Ejike Asogwa said on Easter Sunday.
Evangelist Asogwa in his sermon entitled: “The Power of Salvation’ said that death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought salvation through which all faithful Christians will have everlasting lives’’.
While reading from the book of Isaiah 25: 6-9 and I Corinthians, 15:12-20, the Church teacher said the resurrection of Jesus Christ gave all Christians victory over death.
The Catechist, an Engineer said that if Christ did not resurrect from death, our faith could have been in vain and those who have fallen asleep in Christ would perish.
He also said that his resurrection assured Christians of the power to be spiritually sensitive, which would always help them to have victory over all their temptations.
Evangelist Asogwa added that Christians through the salvation of Christ had been given the grace to defeat Satan to have their destinies in their hands.
He, however, tasked Christians to always make effectual fervent prayers with holiness as through such their future would be preserved.
According to the teacher, God revealed to his people things through dreams and revelations on their own when they lived holy lives.
He said that if Christians were holy and kept God’s commandments, they could not be taken unawares by the devil as God revealed to his people things that would happen before they manifested.
Evangelist Asogwa noted that things happen in the spirit realm before they are fulfilled physically. “The spiritual controls the physical’’. The worshipers were happy to commemorate the death and resurrection of the Lord Christ. (MOI)
