Awka, March 25, 2021 (MOI) Anambra State Government has presented a project car to the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) for the Anambra State International Airport Project.
The car was presented on behalf of the Government by the Commissioner for Works, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor, an Engineer, in the Ministry’s premises.
Mr Ifejiofor said that the presentation was in fulfilment of the promise made by Gov. Willie Obiano to the Ifite Umueri Community last week.
According to him the car will enable the CLO to discharge his work efficiently and to liaise adequately between the community and the government of Anambra State.
Ifejiofor said it was his belief that with the good gesture and other things the government had done for the host community, they would reciprocate by providing the government with a good working environment so that the Airport project would be delivered as soon as possible.
A Community Leader in Ifite Umueri as host community for the project, Mr Basil Iwuoba thanked the government on behalf of the community for fulfilling a promise that was made just last week.
He pledged they would grant the government an enabling environment to proceed with the work.
The CLO, Mr Sam Ndubuisi Anene expressed gratitude to Gov. Obiano for fulfilling his promise.
“I will ensure that the relationship between the government and the Ifite Umueri community will be maintained at all times by promoting peaceful environment.’’ The handover ceremony was witnessed by the Chief Protocol/Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Uzu Okagbue, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Works, Mr Emeka Ohuoha, a Journalist and Lawyer and Directors in the Ministry.
