Awka, Feb. 14, 2021 (MOI) Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Prof Theresa Obiekezie has described government-private sector partnership on youth mentorship as effective means of re-creating socio-economic development order.
Prof. Obiekezie added that the partnership yielded positive results over the years as manifested in the recently concluded Stanel Masterclass Youth Mentorship programme held in Awka.
While describing government collaboration with Stanel Group as unique and impactful, she said no fewer than 3,000 youths were offered the opportunity to tap knowledge and business ideas from captains of industry, business moguls and successful achievers.
The commissioner fielded questions from newsmen shortly after the programme, likening the event to a youth festival aimed at exposing them to the abundant entrepreneurship opportunities that could change their lives.
“Today, no fewer than 3,000 youths listened to people like Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Cosmas Maduka, Allen Onyema, Anyim Pius Anyim, who succeeded in life from the scratch.
“It was a platform for exchange of ideas between the older and younger generations,’’ Prof Obiekezie stressed
According to her, youths who participated in the programme have gained a lot from the assemblage of professionals who taught them varied means of achieving success in life. (MOI)
