Awka, Feb. 9, 2021 (MOI) Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim has urged his congregation to seek refuge in God at all times.
Bishop Ibezim said this at the Diocesan Rededication of Women’s Guild held at Church of Redemption, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik), Awka, Anambra State.
The Bishop spoke on a theme: “The Name of The Lord Is A Strong Tower, The Righteous Runs Into It and Are Saved.’’
He urged the women to seek God with all sincerity, lamenting at the rate of faithlessness.
Bishop Ibezim, then, enjoined them as Christians, to develop a strong faith in God by believing what he could do.
He noted that many Christians were afraid of battles, especially now the society was facing a lot of challenges, admonishing all to trust and obey God.
“God is able to deliver us from all troubles. Trust in Him for the arm of flesh will fail and God will not fail.’’
Bishop advised them to be serious with God in total commitment and total obedience to his commands.
He enjoined them not to dwell in the Glory of last year bearing in mind that there was always a war for every Christian
The cleric urged the congregation to always believe in God, even in the face of fear, bearing in mind that God would always fight their battles.
“Always hide in the shadows of God for you to conquer as God will surely deliver you.’’
He cautioned them against unseriousness in the things of God, maintaining that it was only God that could deliver them.
Ibezim prayed for the women to be able to maintain their faith even in the face of challenges
Mrs Martha Ibezim, the Provincial President of Niger and wife of Archbishop Ibezim thanked his grace for finding out time to be with them.
She prayed to God to continue to bless his Archiepiscopacy and grant him abundant Grace to carry on the work of God. (MOI)
