Nibo (Awka South LGA), Dec. 13, 2020 (MOI) Ndi Anambra have been urged to maintain hygiene and safety so as to be healthy this Yuletide season.
President, Kamac Foundation, a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO), Mr Chike Amos Ekwughe said this while being interviewed by an Information Officer at Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State.
Mr Ekwughe, a Civil Engineer said that indigenes and residents of the state should not throw caution to the winds in terms of hygiene and safety, especially at this period of celebration.
He added that sons and daughters of Anambra, who would return for Christmas and New Year celebrations should do this to promote their well being.
The president enjoined Ndi Anambra to comply with Gov. Willie Obiano’s call to maintain COVID-19 protocols.
The protocols include regular hand washing under running water with soup, wearing of nose masks and keeping social distancing in crowded areas.
Ekwughe said that compliance with the pandemic protocols was necessary and should be part of daily interaction to promote healthy living.
He also tasked Ndi Anambra, who would be travelling out for the Yuletide to ensure that they maintain road safety rules to avoid accidents.
Mr Ekwughe, however, enjoined the private and commercial drivers to be more careful this season, while urging them not to drive under alcoholic influences.
He noted that ill-health and road accidents were avoidable, if only we could be cautious. (MOI)
