Anambra State joined the global community in celebrating the International Day for Persons Living with Disability on Tuesday, December 3rd. The day honours the strength, resilience and leadership of persons with disability, recognising their vital role in building a sustainable future.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has made a groundbreaking move by providing cutting-edge digital tools to the Disability Rights Commission. This empowering initiative enables the Commission to enhance accessibility, streamline services, and promote inclusivity in decision-making processes, ultimately breaking down barriers for persons with disabilities.
The Chairman of the Disability Rights Commission, Mr. Chuks Ezeawuzie (Esq), highlighted the significance of empowering persons with disabilities through digital tools. He noted that the tools will not only boost productivity but also provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to acquire training and thrive in today’s digital landscape.
