WORKS COMMISSIONER URGES CORPS MEMBERS TO STRIVE TO CARRY OUT SELFLESS SERVICE

Awka, Aug. 10, 2018 (MOI) Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Mr Marcel Ifejiofor has urged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in his ministry to maintain carrying on selfless service that the ministry is renowned for.
Mr Ifejiofor commended the Corps members for their spirit of patriotism, loyalty and diligence to work as demonstrated by their decision to tidy up the ministry's environment.
He enjoined them to continue to imbibe the virtues of hard work as it was the only way they could succeed in their future endeavours.
Acting Deputy Director, Administration, Mrs Stacia Emenike described the gesture by the Corps members as unprecedented in the history of the ministry.
Mrs Emenike said she was happy when on reporting for work, discovered that the environment was looking tidy.
She urged them to keep up the good work and continue to serve the nation with dedication and respect to constituted authority.
Leader of the Corps members in the Ministry, Miss Jovita Okoro said the exercise was part of their Community Development Service (CDS) in their various places of primary assignment.
``The Ministry has impacted so much on us and the clean up exercise is our show of appreciation.’’
Miss Okoro commended her follow corps members for coming out for the cleanup exercise and thanked the management of for their cooperation.
Another Corps member in the Ministry, Mr Donald Chidi Obiajunwa, expressed gratitude for serving in the ministry, saying that at the end of his service year, the experience gathered would be of immense value in their hunt for permanent employment.
He urged his colleagues in other organisations
to emulate what they did, so that their place of primary assignment would feel
