PRIMARY HEAD TEACHERS URGED TO SHUN NEGATIVE TENDENCIES

Awka, Dec. 14, 2017 – Head teachers of primary schools in Anambra should re-dedicate themselves to their duties, in order to reciprocate Gov. Willie Obiano’s education friendly-posture, a top government functionary says.

The chairman Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, Chief Nzemeka Olisa made the appeal during an end of the year party.

Chief Olisa enjoined the head teachers to be fair to all teachers under them with a view to tapping from their intellectual output.

According to the ASUBEB boss, represented by a member of ASUBEB, Chief Samuel Muozoba, they should shun negative acts such as collection of unapproved levies from school pupils.

``You should not engage in sale of textbooks as this will attract negative sanctions.’’

He urged them to guard jealously, the school’s property in their possession and also used the forum to thank them for their supportive roles in ensuring the re-election of Gov. Obiano for a second term.

In a remark, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Quality Assurance, Mrs Chinenye Idigo, urged the teachers to sustain their support to the governor, especially in their prayers.

The state chairman of the primary schools head teachers in the state, Mr Chris Achukwu Commended Gov. Obiano for his education friendliness and prompt payment of their salaries.
