MY MISSION IS TO REBUILD MINISTRY OF LANDS- NNAMDI ONUKWUBA

Awka, April 17, 2018 Anambra State Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development, Hon. Nnamdi Onukwuba says his mission in the ministry is to rebuild the ministry and change the negative public perception about the staff.
He made this statement during a staff meeting in his office..
The Commissioner said that his goal was to improve the work output, productivity, welfare and to have a cordial relationship with workers.
Mr Onukwuba urged the staff of the ministry to be transparent and ensure efficient service delivery, warning that hardwork would be rewarded while acts of corruption would be sanctioned in accordance with the civil service rules.
He however, called for change of attitude among the staff, adding that he has not come to the Ministry to victimize anybody, asuring that his office is open to staff for meaningful information but warned them against misinformation.
Onukwuba also said that staff welfare would be given priority while dilapidated offices would be refurbished.
He disclosed that staff at various levels will be sent for training with a view to improving their productivity.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mr. Daniel Okoli said that stringent disciplinary measures will be taken against any staff who goes contrary to the rules.
Mr. Okoli said that staff movement will be recorded in the movement register and that proper Civil Service dress code must be maintained.
He assured the commissioner of the support of the entire staff of the ministry to enable him realise his goals.
