Ministry of Information and Public Enlighentment will be the best--- Commissioner

Awka, March.28, 2018 -- The Anambra state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightment Mr C.Don Adinuba has expressed his determination to work with the staff as a team toward making the ministry the best in the state.
Mr Adinuba said this in his maiden address to the officers, members of staff and chief executives of parastatals in the ministry in his office at Awka.
“What i have in mind is that by the time i leave this place ,the ministry of information andPublic Enlightenment will be the most respected ministry,” Adinuba declared.
The Commissioner reiterated the importance of imbibing the concept of egalitarianism or equality, saying that the more you treat people who work for you as colleagues and friends the better the organisation.
“I want to work closely with you, I am a very very informal person, i want everybody here to see me as a friend. I am not a boss, I don’t even see myself as a leader, just your colleague, that is the way i was brought up,” he said.
Adinuba maintained that the governor had set high standard and he would thrive on it if possible exceed it,
He described Gov .Obiano as a capable and inspiring leader who has a command of facts and figures even the dates of what has happened in the last four years.
Mr. Adinuba commended the state governor for his developmental vision to the state in the next 50 years, saying that under Obiano, Anambra will have the most competitive economy in the whole of West Africa.
The commissioner extolled the infrastructural development of the Willie Obiano led administration which include the six thousand sitting capacity International Conference centre, the Anambra Cargo airport project and various other projects.
He said that with these projects, the governor is poised to transfrom the economic landscape of the state.
Mr Adinuba emphaised much on hardwork saying that nothing is impossible if only we can work hard.
“Nothing is impossible, if you set your mind to it. you will achieve it, this entails setting a target that initially look impossible to achieve, but at the end of the day you achieve it,”Adinuba said.
He said that we too can make Anambra state great by exhibiting that enterprising spirit which Ndi igbo in general and Ndi Anambra in particular are known for.
The Commissionr declared that the ministry must go beyond the traditional way of doing things,by rebranding the state.
The permanent secretary in the ministry Mr Benjamin Umerah commended the new Commissioner and pledged his loyalty to him.
He expressed regret that many people have taken over our work here in the ministry ,and expressed optimism that if we packaged ourselves, we can retrieve what is ours.
The cheif executive officer and managing Director National Light Newspaper Mr Chuka Nnabuife solicited for human relationship between the ministry and its parastatals.
In a vote of thanks, the managing Director (MD) of Anambra Broadcasting service Mr Uche Nworah said that we will support the new Commissioner and prayed for God’s blessing on him.
Mr Nworah pointed out that the ministry under C.Don will fight to take back what is ours.
The Occasion attracted some important dignitries from both the ministry and other parastatals in the ministry.
They include the permanent secretary in the ministry Mr Benjamin Umerah, the MD ABS radio Mr Uche Nworah ,Mr chuka Nnabuife of National Light Newspaper, Directors and Heads of departments.
