Military undergoes study tour in Anambra

Awka, Oct. 10, 2017 -- The leader of course 26 of the National Defence College, Brig.-Gen. Martin Enedu says the team is in Anambra State to study the economic and industrial potential that abound in the state.
Gen. Enedu said this when the course members drawn from the Army, Navy, Air Force and the Tanzanian Army visited Gov. Willie Obiano at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia.
Enedu noted that the theme of their 5-day study tour is: ``Youth Empowerment and National Security Issues and Prospects.”
He assured the commitment of the college to offer useful training to participants on modern trends in military management and the art of democratic governance.
Gov. Willie Obiano who said he appreciated their tour of the state explained that it was an indication of government's strategies in creating opportunities for development activities to thrive.
He noted that one of the biggest achievements recorded by his administration was collaboration with security agencies and vigilance groups which had brought peace and investments to the state.
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu said the team was the fourth to undertake a study of the state this year.
