MEMBER-ELECT VOWS COMMITMENT TO WELFARE OF CONSTITUENTS
By Oguji Ginika
Agulu (Anaocha LGA), April 14, 2019 (MOI) Member-elect, Anaocha Constituency 1, in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Ebele Ejiofor says he is committed to welfare of Ndi Anaocha 1 constituents.
He made the vow when he assisted in offsetting payment of school fees of an indigent member of his constituent, Miss Amaka Nzenwaku of Nkitaku Village, Agulu.
Mr Ejiofor, while presenting the money, said he was moved to assist her because she was on the verge of losing her admission into an unnamed institution of higher learning because of her parent’s inability to settle the admission fees.
He said even though he had yet to be sworn in, Ejiofor emphasized that he could not see Miss Nzenwaku lose her admission over her parent’s inability to pay, considering the urgency in the matter.
The member-elect, then, said his programme for his constituents would commence, fully after the inauguration, urging the beneficiary to focus on her studies.
Mother of the beneficiary, Mrs Ogochukwu Nzenwaku, who could not hide her joy, thanked Mr Ejiofor, praying God to protect and reward him for his good deeds.
Mr Kenneth Ezisi, Chairman Nkitaku Village, described Mr Ejiofor as a true servant of the people, adding that his presence in to the House would no doubt re-ignite quality representation of Anaocha constituency 1.
He thanked the member-elect for the generosity and reaffirmed their support to him.
The member-elect later presented one year school
fee to Miss Nzenwaku. (MOI)
