Ogidi (Idemili North LGA), Sept. 19, 2019 (MOI) Charity and Gender Community Development Service (CDS) Group has embarked on a free Medical treatment by National Youth Corps members in Idemili North Local Government Area (LGA).

The exercise took place at the LG Headquarters, Ogidi. The event witnessed a massive turnout of patients.

The objective of the treatment was to enhance their services on the call to serve their humanity and fatherland.


The medical check-up include weight control, sugar levels, malaria parasites, eye and blood pressure as well dispensing of free drugs to workers.

Dr Uchenna Chikwado, a youth corps medical personnel at Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi said they were not there to make money but to save life.

``There are many who do not go to hospital for medical check-ups and can use this opportunity to do so.’’

Another Corps member, Dr Felix Ogbuebuni urged people to endeavour to attend routine check-ups from time to time to avoid heart attacks, strokes and even sudden deaths.

``It is necessary to know your sugar levels, HIV and Bp status; those with extra weights should endeavour to me for solutions.’’

Idemili North NULGE, Chairman Mr Kennedy Igweze urged them to put in more zeal on their call to serve and be good leaders of tomorrow. (MOI)
