GOVERNOR’S WIFE CAUTIONS YOUTH AGAINST INDULGENCE IN VICES

Umueze Anam (Anambra West LGA), Aug. 22, 2019 (MOI) Wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has identified indulgence in social vices as major factor militating against developing the potential of youths in the state.
Mrs Obiano popularly referred to as `Osodieme’, rather recommended skills acquisition for them as a way to better their life.
She made the suggestion while addressing youths of Umueze Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA) in continuation of her tour of 21 LGs.
Mrs Obiano is founder of a Non-governmental organisation, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ).
She noted that the tour was part of her humanitarian services to indigent widows, the aged, disabled and school children.
Mrs Obiano repeated her unwavering faith in helping the downtrodden, saying, that CAFE was open to empower people with varying skills, especially the less privileged and the youths.
Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Uche Okafor urged Ndi Anambra to support government policies directed toward progress and development.
Member representing Anambra West, Sir Patrick Obalum Udoba extolled Mrs Obiano for her benevolence and generosity to the people of the LG.
Commissioner for Lands, Mr Bonaventure Enemali commended Governor’s wife for the special interest and care for Ndi Anambra West.
Mr Sylvester Orji Okafor, Transition Committee Chairman for Anambra West thanked Mrs Obiano for the visit while praising her for donating five sewing machines, five hair dryers and some tubers of yams.
The event also
featured distribution of food items like bags of rice, cash gifts, school items
to indigent widows and school children. (MOI)
