Ekwulobia (Aguata LGA), May 13, 2019 (MOI) Transition Committee Chairman, Aguata Local Government Area (LGA), Mr Eche Ezeibe has commended Anambra State superlative performance in governance.

``The N20m Community Choose Your Projects Initiative now in the 3rd phase has helped to revolutionise governance in Anambra State.

``The Street Lightening Scheme of Obiano Government has extended business time, as such put food on tables of many,’’ Ezeibe commended.

Mr Ezeibe made the commendation, during maiden Aguata Day Celebration, at Aguata Council Headquarters, on May 11.

He commended Gov. Obiano in the area of security saying: ``we go about our businesses today in Anambra State without fear of molestation’’.

He noted that wife of the governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano had given succour to amputees in the state, by providing artificial limbs through her Caring Family Enhancement (CAFÉ) initiative.

``Some destitute found in the streets of Anambra State, have received rehabilitation and re-united with their families.

``The indigent widows, orphans and persons with disabilities are singing praises to God as CAFÉ programmes has helped to rewrite their stories for the better,”  the chairman said.

There were Awards of excellence to Aguata people that distinguished themselves in their various endeavours.

The TC Chair commended the awardees, praying God to grant them more wisdom and good health to continue their good works in their communities and the society at large.

``Virtually, every community in Aguata LGA, under my watch, have received one developmental attention or another.

``We shall do more as economy improves, in line with Obiano's concerns for developing rural areas,’’ he added.

Chairman of the occasion, Mr Titus Anigbogu, eulogised Obiano saying: ``farming under Obiano’s watch is no longer business of the old or poor but businesses of international repute as well as exporters’’.

He urged the State Government to pay attention to Awka, Agulu, Nanka Ekwulobia, Uga Road.

``It is a Federal road that urgently needs to be attended to, in the interest of Ndi Anambra.’’

The Awardees include Mr G. C. Orajiaka, Mr Ekene Onwuekwe and Mr Johnbosco Onunkwo.

The governor was represented at the event by Mr Peter Egenti, Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Anambra State. (MOI)
