Awka, Feb.12, 2020 (MOI) Commissioner for Public Utilities, Mr Emeka Ezenwanne has urged Nnobi community to support the good works of Gov. Willie Obiano administration in the state.

He said this during a meeting between the state government and Nnobi Community.

Mr Ezenwanne, an engineer, said that the purpose of the meeting was to assess impact of government projects in the area.

``This is to interact with the people on how to move the community forward,’’ he said.

He gave them assurance that government would continue to provide democracy dividends to all segments of the state, irrespective of political afflictions.

The commissioner urged Ndi Anambra, especially the youths to assist in the protection of government facilities within their areas to enable government to provide more for them.

Ezenwanne explained that Gov. Obiano has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to ensure steady electricity supply in all communities in the state.

The commissioner noted that Gov. Obiano had shown love and kindness to Nnobi community by appointing their sons and daughters into top leadership positions as well as in provision of various developmental projects.

He described the people of Nnobi as highly intelligent, peaceful and law abiding citizens, who excel in their various areas of specialisation.

According to him government will continue to carry them along in the scheme of things.

Chairman, Ministry of Public Utilities Facility Monitoring Committee (PUFMC) Mr Dozie Akunne emphasised that government embarked on massive provision of electricity and portable water in parts of the state.

This, he said was to enhance the living standards of the people.

He expressed displeasure at some people, who vandalise such facilities for personal interest.

He, then, thanked Gov. Obiano for giving the community a sense of belonging, assuring him of their continued support and loyalty at all times. (MOI)
