COMMISSIONER HAILS HOSPITAL BOARD MEMBERS’ CONTRIBUTIONS TO HEALTH SECTOR

Awka, Dec. 3, 2019 (MOI) Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Ogochukwu Okpala has hailed the State Hospital Board Members for their contributions toward uplifting the healthcare system in the state.
Dr Okpala made this commendation when the board members paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka.
The commissioner, who noted the challenges facing the board, urged them to join hands with government in order to revamp healthcare system in the state.
He assured them of Gov. Willie Obiano's commitment and determination in providing functional healthcare service delivery to Ndi Anambra.
``I have taken note of your challenges and by the grace of God, we will address them gradually.’’
Dr Okpala, then, enjoined them to join him when next he would be going for hospital supervision.
Dr Richmond Achugbu, Anambra State Hospital Administrator praised the leadership style of the commissioner, urging him to maintain his good work.
The administrator listed challenges facing the
board to include limited number of vehicles for hospital inspections and
reallocation of plots of land for the board's permanent building. (MOI)
