Fegge (Onitsha South LGA), May 24, 2019 (MOI) The Association of Professional Plumbers, Anambra State Chapter, has inaugurated its executive committee.

The National leadership of the association accompanied by other state representatives performed the ceremony at the Plumbers Hall, Bridge Head Market, Onitsha.

The National President of the Association, Mr Olufemi Jacob Awotoye, told newsmen on the sidelines of the ceremony that they expect the association to be all over Anambra State.

``A lot of benefits awaits any member of the association like, securing connection for jobs from his state and other states.

``Members will always be informed of the best products to use as well as be introduced to each other for empowerment and lots more,’’ Mr Awotoye said.

He added that already, 28 of its member had been empowered by the Federal Government with the sum of N30, 000 each.

Awotoye, however, enjoined the state chapter to inform other plumbers who were not aware of the association, urging them to be punctual at their meetings and to display honesty at their work sites.

The Coordinator Anambra State Chapter, Mr Ndubuisi Madu explained that the association started in March 2018 and that they were the first executive in Anambra.

He enjoined the public to complain to the association whenever their members fail to do the assigned jobs as required by their clients.

An elder in the Association, Mr Olisa Ilo, said that the association was reliable.

He noted that this was their first meeting and that they had now been officially affiliated to their national body.

Mr Ilo enjoined the Anambra chapter members to keep the flag flying.

The event witnessed the inauguration and presentation of membership certificates to the new executive by the National president. (MOI)
