ANAMBRA TO ESTABLISH ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMITTEES IN MDAs -- HOS

Awka, Nov. 19, 2019 (MOI) Following the ratification and adoption of Anambra State Anti-Corruption Strategy (ANSACS) by the Executive Council, the state government has urged MDAs to establish Anti Corruption Committees in their organisations with immediate effect.
Head of Service (HOS), Barr Harry Udu made the announcement in a circular made available to the public in Awka.
According to statement releases by the office of HOS, membership of the committee will be made up of Open Government Partnership (OGP), Desk Officers, Information Officers, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers, Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS) and Internal Auditors.
The release urged MDAs to forward names, positions, ranks and date of first appointments of selected officers to Office of the HOS on or before Nov. 17.
It added that the date for formal inauguration of the Anti Corruption Committees in MDAs would be made public at a later date.
The statement said training of committee members
would follow thereafter. (MOI)
