Anambra honours 3 former aids

Awka, Aug. 28, 2018 (MOI) Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra has honoured three former political appointees for their meritorious service to his administration in the first tenure.

They were honoured during the Weekly Executive Council Meeting, at the EXCO Chambers, Government House, Awka.

Those honoured are former Director, Media, Mr Chuks Iloegbunam, former Senior Special Assistant, Media and Strategic Communication, Mr Oliver Okpala and former Chairman, Anambra State Board of Internal Revenue, Mr Achike Emejulu.

The beneficiaries were presented with Certificates, Anambra State Anniversary Crests and Medallion.

Gov. Obiano said that the former aides were ``part of the many successes’’ recorded by his administration in the first tenure.

``I appreciate you for enormously contributing to the socio-economic transformation of the Anambra State.’’

Mr Iloegbunam in response described the award as `unprecedented’.

``Gov. Obiano is a ‘Gracious Political Leader’, and serving in his Government, was a great experience to me,’’ Iloegbunam said.

Okpala noted that the recognition, would spur other political appointees to work toward contributing more to the development of the state. (MOI)
