Adazi Ani (Anaocha LGA), May 13, 2019 (MOI) Anambra State Government has urged Christians to preach love and tolerance among different denominations.

Gov. Willie Obiano said this while addressing the 3rd session of the 11th synod of the Anglican Diocese of Awka held at St. Jude Anglican Church, Adazi Ani.

Obiano urged them to utilise the opportunity to avail themselves of good healthcare, through the Anambra Health Insurance Scheme, so as to ensure better living standards.

He noted that about 60 hospitals including those belonging to missions had been mapped out for the scheme.

The synod with theme: ``The Victory That Has Overcome The World Even Our Faith’’, was presided over by the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese Rt. Rev. Alexander Ibezim.

The guest preacher, Rt. Rev. Jacob Bada of Etsako Anglican Diocese, in a homily urged Christians to exercise their faith in God as a means of overcoming the world.

He enjoined them to renew their prayer life and eschew fears of all sorts.

Other dignitaries present at the synod include a former governor of Anambra state, Dame Virgy Etiaba, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu and Chief of Staff to Gov. Obiano, Mr Primus Odili. (MOI)
