ANAMBRA COMMISSIONER CHARGES PARK MONITORING TEAM TO SIT UP

Awka, April 13, 2018 -- The Anambra State Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transportation, Mr. Uchenna Okafor has urged the Park Monitoring Team to sit up in their duty of ensuring that Private Park Owners owing the State Government are compelled to pay their revenue.
Mr. Okafor made the call in a meeting with the Team in Awka.
The Commissioner announced that the state will soon conduct a fresh bidding for Public Parks, saying that henceforth their revenue will be paid yearly.
He informed them that the state government has directed the decongestion of all the roads, with their full anticipation.
According to the Commissioner the use of force to collect revenue from the public must stop while a new modality for revenue collection will be set up by the Ministry.
The Commander of the team, Mr Marcel A. Adimorah thanked the Commissioner for his kind gesture towards them especially in the increment in their salaries.He promised that they will sit up in their duty and work effectively to improve the state’s internally generated revenue.
