Awka, March 15, 2019 (MOI) Anambra State Government has approved the release of N10 million for Masdevan Farm, Urum to assist them to improve lives of youths in the state.
This is made known by Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Afam Mbanefo in Awka, during a meeting between the ministry and officials of Masdevan Farms.
The meeting was at the instance of the Operational Team on modalities for disbursement of the funds.
The commissioner, who was represented by Special Assistant (SA) to the Governor on Agriculture Information, Mr Mike Afah commended Masdevan Farms for their commitment toward empowering the youths.
``During the ministry’s on-the-spot visit to the farm last year, there was clear indication that power supply was a major factor militating against effective operation of the farm,’’ Afah said.
He, then, noted that the release of funds would help the farm to tackle their problems while insisting, ``to whom much is given, much is expected’’.
Afah pledged to produce detailed report at the next meeting on how they intend to utilise the funds.
Leader of the team and
Coordinator of the Farm, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Anokwulu expressed joy at the
governor's gesture. (MOI)
