By John Ndu/Chioma Ezeiru :
Amaokpala (Orumba North LGA), Feb. 22, 2020 (MOI) Special Adviser to Governor on Public Orientation and Special Duties, Mrs Ify Obinabo has taken campaigns against Lassa fever and Corona Virus to Amaokpala, Orumba North Local Government Area.
The campaign, targeted at youths of the community took the form of a public enlightenment lecture on prevention of Corona virus, Lassa fever and other infectious diseases.
It also featured intensive training on digital economy.
Mrs Obinabo explained that the importance of the meeting was to educate youths on measures to apply in the prevention of corona virus and Laser fever in the state.
``Imbibe cleanliness and personal hygiene such as regular washing of hands, use of sanitisers and avoiding body contacts with sick persons, bats and rats to stem spread of these ailments.’’
Mrs Obinabo announced that Gov. Willie Obiano had provided every opportunity for people to maintain quality living standards.
She, then, urged them to register in the Health Insurance Scheme, so as to enable them to have access to healthy and wealthy life.
Member representing Orumba North in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Emeka Aforka said the choice of training on digital economy was based on the fact that the World had become highly digitised.
Mr Aforka added that the programme was in line with the state government's initiative to train 10,000 Anambra youths on entrepreneurial skills, geared at making them self reliant.
He explained that the training would improve the living standards of youths and make them self-dependent.
He added that such training was necessary since white collar jobs were no longer available. (MOI)
