ABS receives 2 brand new 14 seater buses

Awka, March 29, 2018 – Gov. Willie Obiano has presented two brand new 14-seater buses to Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS.
The presentation which took place at the Governor's Lodge, Amawbia was part of Gov. Obiano's efforts to make ABS the best digital Station globally.
The governor while presenting the buses to the management of ABS, restated his commitment to further procure quality equipment that would transform the Station to meet international standards in broadcasting.
Gov. Obiano who was represented by his Deputy, Dr Nkem Okeke said the essence was to ensure effective and adequate coverage of the state, especially at the hinterlands.
"We will recall that Anambra government has built digital Television and Radio studios for the ABS and cleared backlog of pension and gratuity arrears.
"We have also organized several training programmes for the staff of the station to acquaint themselves with new trends in the practice.
"It's in line with the policy of Obiano administration geared towards providing adequate facilities that will enhance productivity and promoting the welfare of workers". Obiano remarked.
The Chairman of ABS Board of Directors, Dr Emeka Nmaduegbuna thanked the government for its interest in repositioning the outfit and expressed the hope that the vehicles would help enhance logistics in the station.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABS, Nze Uche Nworah said under his watch, the station is on course towards achieving the mandate assigned to him by the government.
He added that the vehicles would help the station get to all nooks and crannies of the State.
