ANAMBRA POLYTECHNIC: GOVERNING COUNCIL TASKED TO IMPLEMENT POLICIES TO PROMOTE QUALITY LEARNING

Amawbia, Sept. 11, 2019 (MOI) Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra has directed the governing council of Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu to ensure implementation of policies to aimed at promoting standard learning in the institution.
Inaugurating the Governing Council at Governor's Lodge, Amawbia, Gov. Obiano urged them to work hard toward for full accreditation of the institution as full-fledged polytechnic before June, 2020.
Prof. Chuka Omaliko emerged as Chairman of council, while Dr Samuel Uzo Nnanna would serve as its secretary.
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Primus Odili, Prof. Theresa Obiekezie, Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof. Eugene Nwanna, Dr Hyacinth Nwoye, Prof Titus Eze, Mr Nathan Okeke and Dr Nneka Mefoh are council members.
Gov. Obiano described education as key to success, calling on the council to maintain action plans that would enhance high standards of learning.
He pledged to continue to invest in education and to support the institution in actualising its targeted goals.
Prof. Obiekezie listed the functions of council, stressing the need for peaceful existence among members.
She appealed to the members to live up to their statutory responsibilities.
