Mrs Obiano advocates safe delivery for pregnant women

The wife of the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has called for proper care for all pregnant women in Anambra state in order to ensure safe and easy delivery.
Mrs Obiano made the remark while commissioning and sharing delivery kits to pregnant women at the public health center Aguleri.

She announced that the state government has approved the renovation and equipping of most primary health centers in Anambra state adding that work will soon commence on them.
Mrs Obiano said that already the state government has employed doctors and nurses that will be posted to all the public health centers in the state immediately after the renovation of the health care centers.
Continuing she said that through her non governmental organization (NGO) called caring family enhancement initiative (CAFE), government has trained about 2140 of Ndi Anambra in various hand works like computer repairing, sewing,shoe making,catering e.t.c. She adviced the youths and others that are interested in learning a vocation to go to govt house and register at the first lady’s office for the training adding that after the training, the state govt will give them the financial support and equipment to start up their businesses.
The state reproductive health co-ordinator, Mrs Ebele Anene who spoke at the occasion congratulated Mrs Obiano for sharing mama kits and delivery beds in all the public health centers in the LGAs of Anambra State, which she said have helped pregnant women in the state in easy delivery.
The officer in charge of public health care Aguleri, Mrs Ezeobi Rita also thanked Mrs Obiano for her visit to the center, and pleaded that govt should provide electricity and water bore hole in centre which will help them work judiciously.
The representative of the pregnant women, Mrs Okechukwu Chinwe thanked the governor’s wife for remembering pregnant women in Anambra East LGA, and promised to support their administration
