Awka, May 2, 2018 (MOI) Anambra has banned use of unbranded commercial vehicles, shuttles and tricycles (okada) for revenue enforcement.

The Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transportation, Mr Uchenna Okafor said this during a news conference at his office at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat, Awka.

He lamented that some touts were still parading the roads, with rented commercial and shuttle buses, selling emblems and tickets, in spite of the fact that emblem sales had been banned since last year.

Okafor, then, added that only personnel in branded vehicles with government number plate were authorised to carry on with revenue enforcement.

He, however, enjoined the public to be at alert and report cases of fraudulent revenue collectors to the ministry at Awka. (MOI)
