Lands ministry honours retired Deputy Surveyor-General

Awka, March 1, 2018 -- Permanent Secretary, Anambra State Ministry of Lands, Physical Planning and Rural Development, Mr Daniel Okoli has commended Chuks Nzomiwu, retired Deputy Surveyor-General for his selfless services while in service.
Okoli made the commendation during send-forth party organised by the Survey Department of the ministry in honour of Nzomiwu, retired Surveyor-General at Basino Hotel, Awka.
``Chuks has been a role model and energetic person, whose contributions can never be forgotten in the ministry,” Okoli remarked
The permanent secretary reiterated Government’s total commitment toward the wellbeing of its workforce during and after service.
He, then, urged staff to shun corruption, stressing, ``retirement benefits are for workers that served diligently and meritoriously while in service’’.
The Survey-General of the state, Mr Ikechukwu Ajoku in his speech commended the retired deputy surveyor-general for establishing good working relationship with all his colleagues.
He also praised his contributions in on-the-job training of staff during his service years.
Ajoku, then, prayed God to bless him with good health in order to enjoy the fruits of his labour.
Responding, Nzomiwu thanked God Almighty for preserving him throughout his service years.
He praised the staff of the ministry and his friends, who came to join him to celebrate his retirement.
``I wish to thank everyone for the love shown to me and my family throughout my service years,” Nzomiwu said.He prayed God to guide and protect all his colleagues still in service, enjoining them that they would witness their own retirements in sound health.
